Rare Sold bubble sextant produced by C. Plath, Hamburg from 2nd World War
 

Rare but unfortunately incomplete sold bubble sextant by C. Plath from Hamburg.

The request number FL23750 shows that this device was produced for the Luftwaffe. Serial number 33418. However, they were also produced in small numbers under the number KM 2-1 for the navy and used, among other things, on submarines. With poor visibility, the dragonfly sextant gave less precise results, but this is often better than none.
