Rare militaria collector's item of the German Kriegsmarine 2wk

U-boat binoculars of the company Carl Zeiss Jena 7x50 with coding blc.

Very nice but heavily used copy of the U-boat binoculars. The gray paint and underlying paint are badly worn. The rubber protection has small cracks. The adjustment of the eye relief is smooth. The view is clear and has no double image. On one side damage to the surface can be seen, however, represent no impairment of the view. The strap is not original.

The manufacturer's coding blc and the number 53729 are marked on the housing cover.

These binoculars were manufactured from 1943 to 1945 specifically for submarines.

Real nice and authentic "was there" item!

This binocular comes from a submarine that was relocated to Northern Ireland as part of Operation Deadlight. There, the glass was taken from the boat and had only one owner.
