Kriegsmarine altimeter from 2nd World War made by Lufft, in storage case and with KM acceptance.

An exceptional and very rare Kriegsmarine collector's item ww2.

Altimeter made by the Lufft company, famous for its barometers. In the original storage case. The dial marked Compens. No 16386 and Lufft. On the back of the case eagle M and the number 1065. There is also a small adjusting screw here. Inner fine graduation 0 to 78 m and on the outer ring 100 to 5000 m. Still works perfectly. With slight signs of use. Dial somewhat discoloured due to age.

Case with signs of use. Leather, inside lined with green velvet and silk. Stamped with Kriegsmarine property in the lid. Closes tightly.

Diameter altimeter: approx. 5 cm (without crown).

Container diameter: approx. 6,5 cm

These altimeters were mainly used by coastal artillery at higher altitudes, such as in Norway.
