Typical on-board production. Existing oxidation and rust on the surface. Needle slightly bent and the bracket should be bent slightly.

Nice collector's item from a submarine

U 83 was put into service on February 8, 1941 and initially belonged to the 1st U-Flotilla. Later it was moved to La Spezia in the Mediterranean. On 11 enemy raids it sank six ships with 8516 GRT and damaged two ships with 9336 GRT. On March 4, 1943, it was sunk by a British aircraft with six depth charges. Total loss.
