Very nice and rare collector's item of the Kriegsmarine

Good condition. No moth holes. Elaborately worked piece with rhombus and golden lining. Sweatband with ornament. With changing system for the cap tally. The lining has a hole in the front at the top. Manufacturer: August Geiger, Kiel

The battleship Scharnhorst was the first German battleship built after World War I. Commissioned on January 7, 1939. Participated, inter alia, in the occupation of Norway (Operation Weserübung). The Scharnhorst was sunk on December 26, 1943 north of the Northern Cape by British warships. More than 1900 dead.
