A  nice piece in very good condition. Original Kriegsmarine boatswaine whistle.

No damages. Only the chain is missing. Engravings: property of the Kriegsmarine and 8th submarine flotilla Gdansk.

The boatswain`s whistle was used to announce the arrival or disembarkation of high officers. Commandos were also sent on sailing school ships.

The 8th submarine flotilla was founded in Königsberg in October 1941 and was stationed in Danzig from February 1942 onwards. With the intervention of the Red Army, it was dissolved in February 1945.
