Commemorative relief for the Launching of U129 on February 28th 1941 Weser AG Bremen

There is only one copy per U-boat!

This one was handed over to the then commander and later holder of the Knight's Cross Captain Lieutenant Nikolai Asmus Clausen.

Material: brass and wood

Dimensions: 25 x 11 cm

Commissioning was for U129 on May 21, 1941 and it was until June 30, 1941 the 4th U-flotilla in Szczecin. Then as a front boat to the 2nd U-flotilla in Lorient. During ten operations it sunk 29 ships with 143.792 GRT. It was decommissioned on July 4th, 1944, and sunk on August 18, 1944, not to fall into the hands of the Allies. In 1946 it was lifted and scrapped.
