Description

Beautifull small Kriegsmarine estate of a administrive private containing pay book, award and pictures.

Estate of the administrative private Christian Stucke with very rare version of the minesweeper war badge from the Second World War.

Includes the pay book, the minesweeper war badge with certificate of ownership and two portraits.

The pay book is in good condition for its age. The passport photo is missing and parts are illegible due to exposure to moisture. Issue certificate for special tropical clothing is loose. Service with the 2nd convoy flotilla in the Adriatic Sea.

The minesweeper war badge is the very rare design by Richard Simm & Söhne, Gablonz. Very high quality. Silver and gold plated non-ferrous metal. Silver plating and gilding very well preserved. Polished edges on the oak leaf wreath. Early war period. Contemporary, but rather poor repair to the pin hook.

The accompanying ownership certificate is double folded with marginal and corner defects. No tears. Handwritten signature Vice Admiral Lietzmann, Commanding Admiral Adria.

Two portrait photos of officers with Minesucher war badges. It is very unlikely that these are of Christian Stucke as no such promotion is known.

A real highlight for collectors of Kriegsmarine militaria.
