Flat cap of the 7. Schiffsstammabteilung from Stralsund. No moth damage. With name tag provided. As there was only "Damm" it, there is no doubt about the owner. The leather sweatband has been replaced in its time against fabric. The cap tally is sewn tight. The swastika is wiped out!

The 7th Schiffsstammabteilung was formed on January 1, 1938 from the II. S.S. O. with location Stralsund - Daenholm. She conducted infantry training for recruits and officer cadets and taught seamanship skills. On January 1, it was renamed 1. Schiffs-Stamm-Abteilung and moved to Bitsch. In October 1944 it was wiped out in the earth fight against US troops and dissolved.
